함께 추는 춤 Dance With, 2022

『함께 추는 춤』은 손과 산호라는 이종생물이 한 몸에서 공존하며 우주를 배경으로 한 공간에서 춤을 추며 성장하고 변화하는 모습을 담은 영상이다. 산호초는 독립된 생물이지만 다른 몸과 달라붙어 하나의 생명체로 서식하며, 바다 물고기의 70%가 의존하는 중요 생물이다. 바다의 생태계를 결정하는 존재로서 산호초의 멸종은 바다의 멸종을 의미한다. 작가는 마치 산호와 물고기, 바다의 관계처럼 인간과 비인간, 종과 종의 공산을 시도한다. 춤을 추는 듯한 손 위에 무한하게 자라나고 사라지는 산호의 모습을 보며 다른 종들과 공존하며 살아가는 우리의 모습은 그 자체로 우주에서 특별한 것임을 보여준다.
관객은 구조물 내부로 들어와 누워서만 영상을 감상할 수 있으며, 무한의 시공간 속 심해 혹은 우주를 유영하는 손-산호를 베토벤의 피아노 연주와 함께 감상하게 된다.

『Dance With』 is a video that shows the growth and change of heterogeneous organisms, such as hands and corals, coexisting in one body and dancing in a space with the universe in the background. Coral reefs are independent organisms, but they adhere to other bodies to form a single organism, and are important organisms on which 70% of sea fish depend. As entities that determine the ocean's ecosystem, the extinction of coral reefs means the extinction of the ocean. The author attempts to create a relationship between humans and non-humans, species and species, similar to the relationship between corals, fish, and the sea. The sight of coral growing and disappearing endlessly on hands that seem to be dancing shows that we are living in coexistence with other species, which is in itself something special in the universe.
The audience can only watch the video by entering the structure and lying down, and can watch the hand-coral swimming in the deep sea or space in infinite space and time, accompanied by Beethoven's piano performance.
